College Preparatory Education Begins in Elementary School

At Frederick K.C. Price III Christian Schools, we believe that a strong foundation for college preparatory education begins in elementary school. Our program integrates a rigorous academic curriculum with a Bible-based education, fostering both intellectual and spiritual growth. In addition to core subjects, students benefit from specialized "educational pull-outs" throughout the year in areas such as Spanish, performing arts, visual arts, and physical education. Extracurricular opportunities like drum line, drill team, chapel, and academic competitions further enrich their experience.

Academic Curriculum

Our elementary school offers a comprehensive and challenging academic curriculum, with a focus on language arts, science, and mathematics. We emphasize “standards-based instruction,” ensuring that students are actively engaged in learning experiences designed to meet academic standards and expected school-wide learning outcomes. Teachers use diverse strategies and resources to promote higher-order thinking, equipping students for success at every level.

Educational Pull-outs

As part of our commitment to college preparatory education, elementary students (K-5) participate in educational pull-outs, where they are taught by middle and high school teachers. These rotations throughout the school year include:

  • Visual Arts: Students explore their creativity through various art mediums, learning techniques in drawing, painting, and sculpture, fostering artistic expression and appreciation.

  • Performing Arts: Through theater, recording arts, and participation in school productions, drill team, and drum line, students explore their creative potential in our Performing Arts Department.

  • Physical Education: Students learn disciplined exercise routines and the basics of various sports, including volleyball, football, basketball, and running.

  • Spanish: From Kindergarten through 5th grade, students are introduced to basic Spanish language skills, such as greetings, days of the week, and numbers.

Spiritual Development

In addition to academic rigor, our elementary program prioritizes spiritual growth. Students engage in Bible studies as part of their core curriculum and attend weekly chapel services, where they reflect on faith and character development.

Academic Competitions

As an accredited school and member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), Price Schools participate in a variety of academic competitions with other member schools. Our students excel in events like the Spelling Bee, Math Olympics, Speech Meet, Art Festival, and Science Fair, further showcasing their academic and creative talents.
